This aerial view of Llanfynydd and the surrounding countryside was kindly supplied by Bill Grundy. An enlarged view of the Village can be seen here.
Llanfynydd is a small village in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, a rural community with a great spirit, a wonderful little School, an ancient Church, two Chapels and two Pubs (The Farmer's Arms and The Penybont Inn). The S4C television series "Fondue, Rhyw a Deinosors" was set in the village and the surrounding countryside.
Llanfynydd is situated close to the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and near the National Botanic Garden of Wales, the meticulously restored Aberglasney Gardens, and many other attractions.
There is a good selection of accomodation in the village and the surrounding areas. Both pubs, The Farmers Arms and The Penybont Inn, have a number of bedrooms available. There is a choice of cottage accomodation, Y Beudy, Stangwrach, and Pant Glas Home Farm, B&B at Cwmban Fawr, and the time-share centre Pant Glas Hall has a selection of log cabins set in wooded surroundings.
